Draft. No help centre article exists for this one, so the copy below is a structure waiting for your words rather than a description we can stand behind.

SAML and OIDC single sign on, with roles mapped from your own directory groups.

What PeerPath does with it

People sign in with the credentials they already have, and their PeerPath role comes from the group they are already in. Leavers lose access when your directory says so rather than when somebody remembers.

Where it sits in the workflow

At sign in, and continuously afterwards as your directory changes.

Setting it up

1Tell us which identity provider you use.
2We exchange metadata with your IT team.
3Roles are mapped from your directory groups.

Whether it is right for you

Worth it if
  • Your IT security review requires it, which is most public sector and health buyers
  • You have enough staff that manual account management is a real cost
Probably not if
  • You are a single journal with a handful of staff accounts
