Every plan includes a submission allowance and an unlimited number of editors, reviewers
and administrators. One submission covers a piece of work from arrival to decision, including every
revision of it.

Your plan decides how many you can run. It does not decide what any of
them are allowed to do.

People. Editors, reviewers, administrators and applicants are
unlimited on every plan. A system that charges per seat quietly discourages you from involving the
right person, which is the opposite of what review needs.
Outcomes. A rejected submission uses
the same allowance as an accepted one, because the review happened either way.
Extra submissions are ten dollars each on every plan. Nothing is blocked and nothing closes. You
are told while there is still room rather than after the fact, and you are given time to settle.
Storage, data traffic and support are not metered at all, so the
allowance is the only number worth watching.

Every figure here is real, including the plan itself. Set your volume, tick what you
would use, and it adds up.
One assumption to check. Production, Typesetting and
Publish are charged on accepted manuscripts only. Everything else per manuscript is charged on every
submission. That is how it should work, and it is worth confirming before this goes live.

Do rejected submissions use the allowance?
Yes. The review happened either way. Add-ons that only apply after acceptance are the exception, and those are charged on accepted work only.
Is it cheaper to pay yearly?
Yes. Paying annually works out at ninety nine dollars a month on Project against a hundred and nineteen monthly, and a hundred and ninety nine against two hundred and thirty nine on Portfolio.
Why do add-on rates fall as we grow, while integration rates rise?
Add-ons carry a real cost on every submission that uses them, and that cost dilutes with volume. Integrations are licensed per account, and a larger account covers more projects.
Is there a trial?
Thirty days, and you do not need to choose a plan to start one.
Is there a rate for societies, non profits or academic institutions?
To confirm. A large part of this market will ask, so it is better answered here than in a first call.
